Local non profit races to electrify Indian school

Murali Bashyam; a local entrepreneur and a successful immigration attorney to get involved with Anjana School, which is also supported by Maintec Group in India. The core focus is to make a difference in the world with education. The board of Friends United decided to get involved and approved Solar Power project. They have assisted Anjana School with operational expenses in 2010 and have committed $5k towards the solar power project.

The total cost of the solar project is $15K. In order to raise additional funds, they decided to post the project on Global Giving’s web site (http://www.globalgiving.org/). The project initially must raise $4,000 from 50 donors by April 30, 2011 to earn a permanent spot on Global Giving web site which will further expose the project to many more potential donors.
